ABOUT RYAN SONG

AS AN ARTIST

Ryan Song is an artist, singer, songwriter, arranger, and co-producer based in Amsterdam. His music, a mix of electronic groovy pop, dance, and soulful R&B, was developed with the support of ArtEZ Popacademie in 2019, where he built a dedicated team. Inspired by artists such as Charlie Puth, Beyoncé, and The Weeknd, Ryan continually pushes the boundaries of his sound.

In recent years, Ryan has achieved significant milestones in the Dutch music scene. He has appeared on national television programs on SBS6, recently completed a successful tour in the Netherlands for his latest EP, ABUSIVE and has nearly reached one million streams for this EP on Spotify. Looking ahead, he is set to release a new album in 2026, further expanding his artistic vision. As an artist, he is deeply committed to empowering and uplifting his community through both his music and personal story by challenging stereotypes, he strives to bridge cultures, and foster connections between communities.

AS A TEACHER

A part of being a musician, an artist, I am also a pop music teacher. In recent years, I have worked at the Art Academy of Chongqing College Humanities, Science & Technologies as a vocal (CVT/UVS) /songwriting/keyboard/band research coach and pop music history teacher. In my job as a teacher in China, I taught bachelor students from year 1 to 4 and pre-college students in secondary education. In addition, I introduced my students to the global music industry in combination with business and the creative perspectives within it. Including supervising individual and group projects, theses, and mentorship. In addition to teaching, I was responsible for designing the curriculum and outlines for two courses to support educational innovation within the university. I was also active as a guest lecturer in Academic English in Music at the Conservatory of Chongqing Institute of Foreign Studies.

Currently, I also work as a music teacher teaching singing/band/songwriting/groups from primary schools to music academy in Utrecht with MuziekRoute, Vocal Arts Academy, and Aslan Muziekcentrum in Amsterdam.

My mission as a teacher is to help my students explore and find their own music styles and enjoy music.

AS A CREATIVE PROFESSIONAL

Besides being an artist and an educator, I have developed myself as a creative professional specifically in branding, and marketing for different clients such as brands, artists, museums, etc to help them expand their target group.
